The Garden of Tomorrow project is Tigermountain Foundation's effort to bring community building to new heights by revitalizing and beautifying areas with vibrant community gardens. The idea is to make the community garden the fulcrum or center piece of bringing together artists, businesses, churches, community centers and other proactive stakeholders through our garden events. The garden events can be for a cause, entertainment purposes or just good old down home camaraderie. Affordable vegetables and job capacity building are also ingredients in TMF garden effort.
Volunteers, are needed to maintain the Garden of Tomorrow and keep alive this unique garden experience. Specific tasks include composting, light weeding in plots, maintaining the chicken coop, picking fruits and vegetables, general clean up, and enjoying a BBQ together afterward! Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves, bottle of water, as well as a healthy food item for the BBQ following the project.
